NGC 6543 Dra planetary nebula
The Cat's Eye Nebula

32cm at 380x
The surface brightness is high. A thick spindle-shape. This object was sketched previously and I tried it again after being told high magnifications would show more details.
At 380x a spindle-shape with a uniform brightness. The central star is faintly visible with slightly dark area surrounding it. With a "preconception" that there should be some features visible, spiral patterns would become visible at the south and north ends
Once you believe there are such patterns, you can confirm them repeatedly, no matter how faint they are.
