It is located near the boundary of Hydra and Monoceros. It is very large and bright. It is somewhat open but some concentration is also detected. At the center a bright double stands out but there are many other doubles visible. There is a string of stars forming an arch north of the central double star. There is a prominent chain of stars extending from there to the east. In the northern region there are scattered bright stars with faint stars glimpsed among them. In the southern region there are many fainter stars.
