It is very large and its elliptical shape is conspicuous. It is cleanly resolved to the core without any blurring. Judging from the way the stars are distributed, it looks the density of this globular is rather low. The core is somewhat elongated and crescent-shaped. A dark band invades the northeastern part of the globular from the south leaving a wedge-shaped dark area. There are three small clumps of stars outside the dark band presenting an interesting site. The northern most clump is in a shape of a small triangle. The halo is very large and faint in a conspicuous elliptical shape. There are no noticeable chains of stars; only small clusters of stars are scattered around. In the field of view there are many stars seen.
