This is also a large, bright globular. Compared with M2, this is somewhat larger. Stars look sharp and scattered. There are a considerable number of stars involved, but it looks sparse probably because of large differences in stars' brightness. There is a very intense concentration of light at the center appearing as a nucleus. The brightness drops off smoothly from the center to the outlying areas and it fades into the background brightness. Even smaller aperture telescopes will reveal how M15 is different from M2 in brightness distribution. The distribution of stars in M15 is even and there are no conspicuous strings of stars.
